”Happy birthday!” the writing on the breakfast bag says. And in a way it actually is your birthday if you are a member of KFUM-spejderne as we can celebrate that it’s been a hundred years since the association’s work began in Denmark.
And a birthday should be celebrated in a right and proper manner.
Today, Saturday, we have therefore begun the party by eating breakfast together in the sub camps. On the square in front of the cultural centre in Globen Scouts are appearing from all sides. In the queue I find Mads Hermansen, Natascha Josephine Ploug Gredsted and Peter Vestergaard Petersen from Bispebjerg troop.
–I hope I get something to drink for which I won’t need my own cup, Mads says.
He has forgotten his cup back home in the camp.
-And Nutella, Natascha says while Peter agrees, nodding.
And luckily both Nutella and brick juice was to be found on the breakfast table.
In the grass, the groups assemble and enjoy that the birthday can take its beginning in dry weather.

Many Danish Groups have expressed their interested in hosting an international group.
Apart from the international experience and connection your group will gain from this, the danish group could also help you in some of the practical things like transport, accomadation to and from, registering, translating, helping and supporting if needed either before, during or after SEE 20:10.
If you are interested in a Danish friendship group just follow the link here
Are you participating at SEE 20:10? And would you like to be a journalist writing for the SEE 20:10 website and the newspaper? Then sign up now.
You have to be willing to spend a couple of hours each day being a journalist, and be fairly good at written and spoken English. At the camp you will be part of the editorial staff, and together with the Danish journalists you will write about different topics with relevance for the Scouts at SEE 20:10. The aim of having both Danish and international journalists is to make sure that the international angle of the camp is covered in the written press on camp.
If you would like to be a journalist at SEE 20:10, you can write alittle bit about yourself and mail it to Anne Birch Bech-Larsen, bechlarsen(at)gmail.com
